Meet smart and safe

A live event during the COVID-19 pandemic requires special precautions. Many attendees have expressed their strong desire for face-to-face discussions again in the context of a live trade event with industry experts. Nevertheless, everyone wants to feel safe. PDF Days Europe 2021 makes this possible.

The 3G concept – Germany’s basis for COVID security

“3G” is a German term standing for “Getestet – Geimpft – Genesen”. In English it stands for “Tested” – “Vaccinated” – “Recovered”.

The 3G model specifies that only recovered, vaccinated or tested persons are allowed to access to the event area. Accordingly, all staff, speakers and attendees will be identified by a wristband as having passed the 3G screen on entry to the facility.

The COVID security triad

Three organizations have coordinated their security concept for PDF Days Europe 2021.

As the event organizer the PDF Association e.V. controls and monitors all organizational measures.

As the event host, the Steglitz International Hotel (SI Hotel) will implement all spatial and organizational requirements of current COVID regulations. This includes, for example, one-way walkways, minimum distances, catering concepts and much more.

Melanie Müller, event manager of the SI Hotel, comments: “Depending on official requirements we were able to accomplish events safely and successfully throughout the pandemic. With this wealth of experience, we have constantly perfected our safety and hygiene concept and we are proud to welcome every guest to our hotel with a confident feeling of safety.”

As the Berlin security guard, Wachschutz Berlin will ensure access only for vaccinated, recovered or tested persons and will monitor them throughout the event. If necessary, Wachschutz Berlin can carry out testing itself.

Marco Wieland, Managing Director of Wachschutz Berlin, comments: “The consistent implementation and monitoring of the 3G concept offers the greatest possible protection against infection. We take this task very seriously and will not tolerate any exception to the rules.”

Of course, we will continue to keep an eye on all current regulations and inform participants and presenters as necessary.
